Every person I met—shop owners, Uber drivers, and everyone in between—had this incredible do-it-yourself spirit. Our Uber driver had literally built his own house with his own hands, and honestly, it seemed like many of the homes were built the same way. Nothing felt rushed or cheaply done. The houses were thoughtfully crafted from natural materials, with an attention to detail that really stood out.
